Not Fake News welcomes author, businesswoman, and podcaster Dr. Pamela Gurley to our roster of writers and regular contributors.
It is not every day you get to live your dreams and do what you love, but that philosophy guides the professional life of Dr. Pam, who says she’s a “busy and empowered boss lady working every day to change how Black women are perceived.”
In 2021, she was awarded the RadioOne EmpowerHER “Empowering Motivation” award for her commitment to uplifting others.
Dr. Pam has written several books focused on empowering Black women and in May will kick off a book tour promoting her new children’s books series written for Black kids.
Her 25-year career includes 14 years as civil servant working for the United States Federal Government across the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Department of the Army, Department of Defense, Department of State, and the Merit Systems Protection Board.
She is a retired United States Army Veteran and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master’s in Health Service Administration, and a Doctorate in Management.

Dr. Pam's first blog for Not Fake News will be published tomorrow and will focus on President Biden's plan to nominate a Black woman to the U.S. Supreme Court. Her blogs will appear twice monthly on Not Fake News.
In addition, she is featured on our Lean to the Left podcast, during which she discusses her efforts to empower Black women and children through her books, speaking engagements, business activities, and podcast. Also on the episode, Dr. Gurley has some choice words for efforts in many GOP states to rig election laws to disadvantage African American voters, and for the failure of Congress and President Biden to enact needed reforms.
You'll be able to listen to that episode on all major podcast channels, or simply by clicking on the Podcast link in the header above.

Welcome and looking forward!
